We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Steven Fate to our Bellaire Family Eye Care team!
Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2023, Dr. Fate brings both expertise and fun to our practice. He often causes laughter to erupt from the exam rooms!
A True “People Person”
Dr. Fate was destined to work with people. Originally a petroleum engineer, he soon realized he wanted to make a difference by directly serving people and shifted to optometry.
He enjoys helping people of all ages and with varying vision issues, but has particular interest in working with athletes to improve vision or help them recover after a concussion. In addition, he is wonderful with children, adolescents, and elderly. His warm personality helps just about anyone feel at ease.
All About Dr. Steven Fate
Adopted from Korea at 3 months old, Dr. Fate was raised in the Sugar Land area, where he still lives with his wife Emily and beloved Shiba dog named Kim Chi.
A fun fact about Dr. Fate is that when he began dating his wife Emily, they soon learned they were both adopted from Korea and decided to adopt from Korea as well! They are waiting “patiently” to receive their now 2-year-old son. We are all hoping for good news to come soon!
The Fates are big foodies and like creating yummy foods themselves. As the store manager of Whole Foods in Sugar Land, Emily has easy access to delicious and healthy foods for her family. When they can, the Fates also love to travel and be in nature.
