Dr. Ann W. Voss, Therapeutic Optometrist, FCOVD,
Diplomate, ABO
Dr. Ann Voss is a neuro-developmental, therapeutic optometrist who has been serving the larger Houston area since 1989. Her passion and dedication to helping people with neurological, developmental, or functional vision challenges shines through with all her patients and office team. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin in Biology and the University of Houston, College of Optometry. In addition, she is a Fellow of the College of Visual Development and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
As founder and managing partner of Bellaire Family Eye Care and the Vision Learning Center, Dr. Voss has assembled a top-notch team of outstanding optometrists, vision therapists, opticians, clinical contact lens specialists, and administrative service staff all committed to excellent care and service.
In her work with pediatrics and special needs patients, Dr. Voss seeks to find the best solutions to enhance life-long strong vision and optimal visual skills needed for learning and motor development. She teams up with her vision therapists and associated colleagues in neurology, ophthalmology, education, and psychology to collaterally serve her patient’s needs.
In addition, Dr. Voss is frequently asked to present to rehabilitation clinics, educational centers, and professional groups regarding developmental and rehabilitation treatment plans for visual disorders. She is an adjunct professor of the University of Houston, College of Optometry, teaching 4th year students in the clinical setting.
As a Diplomate with the American Board of Optometry, Dr. Voss is board certified to manage all eye care conditions. In addition to utilizing the best technology available in prescribing glasses and contact lenses, Dr. Voss seeks to help patients with preserving vision and preventing vision loss from glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration.
Above all, Dr. Voss loves her patients, her staff and being able to make a difference each day with each patient. Outside of work, she loves family time the most, physical activities of all kinds including running, being at the lake, and enjoying nature.
Dr. Marcia M. Moore, Therapeutic Optometrist, FCOVD,
Diplomate, ABO
Dr. Moore has been a valuable member of our team since 2008, living out her childhood dream of being an eye doctor. She values education and research and excelled academically, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and High Honors from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She went on to obtain her Fellowship from the College of Optometry in Vision Development in 2014. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, affirming her training and knowledge in the treatment of eye diseases including glaucoma, diabetes, strabismus and amblyopia.
Dr. Moore has a unique ability to really listen to her patients and help them find the best approach to their personal visual concerns. She enjoys the challenge of helping individuals use their eyes to their fullest potential and finds joy in working with all members of the family. She uses her extensive knowledge in visual function and development to go beyond just prescribing a pair of glasses and seeing 20/20. Her goal is that an individual’s visual system functions optimally in everyday life whether that is for successful school performance, comfort while working on the computer, or elite sports performance.
Dr. Moore has a passion for working with children and adults with neurological or developmental vision challenges. She relies on the support of other professionals to establish a team approach, as the visual system doesn’t operate in isolation. The visual system is built on every aspect of development. Dr. Moore works closely with occupational and physical therapists, reading specialists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, psychologists, play therapists, teachers, pediatricians and ABA specialists.
She also enjoys giving presentations to schools, outpatient care centers, and other professional groups to help expand their understanding of vision, how to identify symptoms, and offer tools for support.
Dr. Moore and her husband reside in Bellaire, where their children attend Condit Elementary School (Go Cats!) and participate in the Spanish Dual Language Immersion program. As a family they enjoy going on adventure trips especially to National Parks and spending time with their plethora of pets including their backyard chickens.
Dr. Ashley W. Tucker, Therapeutic Optometrist, FAAO, FSLS,
Diplomate, ABO
Dr. Ashley Tucker joined our practice during the summer of 2011. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science before going on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Tucker is the director of The Contact Lens Institute of Houston – a branch of Bellaire Family Eye Care which focuses on finding the perfect contact lens option for all patients.
While in optometry school, Dr. Tucker earned several Letters of Excellence for her clinical work and several awards, including the Vistakon excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care Award and the Metro Optics Excellence award.
Dr. Tucker completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Houston where she received extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases and in complex contact lens fits including patients with keratoconus, corneal transplants, and refractive surgery. Dr. Tucker has a passion for fitting scleral contact lenses and regularly receives referrals from her fellow Optometrists and Ophthalmologists to manage patients in need of specialty contact lenses. In addition, she has earned her Fellowship from the Scleral Lens Education Society which distinguishes her as an expert scleral lens fitter. Dr. Tucker is also passionate about myopia management. She is certified in fitting orthokeratology lenses in both children and adults and has extensive experience and knowledge in myopia management. Although she has particular expertise in contact lenses, Dr. Tucker provides full scope eye care to all of her patients.
Dr. Tucker is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Through her affiliation with the University of Houston, she regularly provides continuing education on the topics of specialty contact lenses and myopia management.
Dr. Tucker is honored to be a member of the Speaker’s Bureau for the speciality division of Bausch & Lomb, a member of the Professional Advancement consultant team for CooperVision, a consultant for SynergEyes and a lecturer for the STAPLE (Soft Toric and Presbyopic Lens Experience) program.
Dr. Tucker is originally from Louisiana, but she and her family relocated to Florida while she was in high school. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and son.
Dr. Aamena M. Kazmi, Therapeutic Optometrist,
Diplomate, ABO
Dr. Aamena Kazmi graduated Summa Cum Laude, with membership in the Honors College and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Business Administration and Medicine & Society. She continued her education at the University of Houston College of Optometry, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with multiple Letters of Excellence for her clinical work and several honors including, Excellence in Cornea & Contact Lens and membership in Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Kazmi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. While she provides full-scope optometric care and loves helping patients of all ages find the best solutions for their visual and eye health needs, she has a passion for the treatment and management of dry eye disease. During her training, Dr. Kazmi completed a rotation at the University Eye Institute Dry Eye Center where she became proficient in clinical based research and therapeutic treatments of tear film disorders.
Additionally, Dr. Kazmi is certified to fit orthokeratology specialty contact lenses in children and adults. She has an extensive background in myopia management and is eager to reduce the progression of nearsightedness in pediatric and adolescent patients.
Dr. Kazmi currently resides in the Bellaire/West University area with her husband. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Houston, and traveling.
Dr. Karen M. Ebling, Therapeutic Optometrist
Dr. Karen Ebling has brought excellent eye care to central and southwest Houston communities since graduating sum cum laude from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 1999. For most of her career, she practiced along side her dad, Dr. Richard Ebling where she learned how to serve patients with care, seek the best path for healthy and clear outcomes, and to really connect with her patients.
Bellaire Family Eye Care is proud to have Dr. Karen and all her long-time patients call this their new eye care home and family. Dr. Karen focuses on the health and eye care well-being of all her patients, including those with cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, or those just needing a really good contact lens or glasses fit.
On a personal level, Dr. Karen and her husband Matt Oglesby live in Fulshear, TX, and have three wonderful teenagers who keep them rather busy!

Sue Brill joined our staff and team in the fall of 2003. She manages the administrative duties of the office as well as making sure that the office runs smoothly and that patients are served with enthusiasm and skill. She is always happy to answer any questions or concerns that you might have.
Ashley Murphy- Front Desk Manager/ Insurance Department
Ashley Murphy joined our front desk team in 2012. She is currently our insurance specialist and is responsible for medical billing and coding. If you have any questions regarding insurance coverage or reimbursement don’t hesitate to call her!

Yami Garfias – Front Desk Receptionist
Yamilieth, also known as Yami, joined our first desk team in December 2021 and has been a patient with us for several years. She received her Associates Degree in digital communication, specializing in graphic design from Houston Community College. Yami is always happy to greet and help out our patients. She is a dog lover, enjoys photography, trying out coffee shops, and traveling.
Fatima Escobar – Front Desk Receptionist/Billing Assistant
Fatima has over six years of experience in customer service and over two years in the Optometry Administrative field. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Business at C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. Fatima enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them with billing questions. She loves designing rooms/areas, as well as decluttering and organizing.
Yenis Guevara – Front Desk Receptionist
Yenis joined our front desk team in July of 2022 and was previously a medical assistant for two years. She loves getting to know our patients and answering any questions they have. Yenis enjoys traveling, concerts, sporting events and trying new restaurants/coffee shops.
Rosalind Edwards – Front Desk Receptionist
Rosalind joined Bellaire Family Eye Care in October of 2022. She has over 10 years of front desk experience. Rosalind enjoys greeting and interacting with all our patients. She is also loves helping and supporting our patients and their family through their eye care journey. Rosalind has 4 daughters and loves being a grandmother to 5 grandsons.
Bertha Lopez – Optician
Bertha Lopez joined our staff and team in February 2011, having over 9 years of optical experience. She has great skills with eyewear needs and style. Bertha is always happy to help you pick out a style that fits your needs and fashion preferences. Bertha has two handsome, growing sons.
Jose Avila- Optician
Jose joined our team in February 2022. Jose joins our team with over 10 years experience in optical with 5 of those years in the optical lab. He has a son Oliver, who he loves very much. Jose is an avid shoe collector and likes to run after work. He is a big Houston sports fan and enjoys soccer and baseball the most.
Melanie Wilson – Optical Staff/Frame Stylist
Melanie joined our team in June 2015 with over ten years of experience in frame styling, so she is up to date on all the current trends. She is happy to help you pick out the best frame for your style and optical needs. Melanie is the proud mother of a beautiful daughter.
Basil Colston-Frame Stylist
After being a patient of ours for several years, Basil officially joined our team in May 2019. Basil has several years of experience in human resources and brings smiles and laughs to everyone he interacts with. He is married to his beautiful wife Liana. Aside from being a wonderful addition to our office family, Basil is scuba and sailing certified!
Kevin Gutierrez- Optician
Kevin joined our optical team in September 2021 with over 6 years of optical experience. A few things Kevin loves the most are shoes, Sports (NBA, NFL, MLB), and traveling. His favorite teams are the Rockets, Texans, and Astros. If you catch Kevin singing then you know it’s a great day for him.
Diana Mejia -Optometric Technician
Diana joined our practice in 2018 and has worked in the Optometry field in numerous capacities since 2014. She completes the Optometric Technician team and is well-versed in all preliminary and special testing procedures. She also assists with ordering contact lenses, assisting with in-office procedures, and offering insertion and removal classes for soft, rigid, and specialty contact lenses. Diana and her husband have a beautiful daughter, Jasmin.
Sarah Gonzalez – Optometric Technician
Sarah joined our team in 2017 but has worked in the Optometry field since 2010. She earned her Associates Degree in Biology from San Jacinto College. Sarah serves a pivotal role in our office by providing all preliminary and special testing prior to seeing the doctors, conducting contact lens insertion and removal classes for new contact lens wearers, and assisting in the exam room.
Jimi Olowokere- Optometric Technician
Jimi joined our team in March 2021. Jimi joins us with over a year of work in the optometry field. He graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from Texas Tech University (2014). That is where he met his beautiful , amazing wife, Vanessa. Jimi loves traveling, sports, anime, reading, trying new cuisine and making music.
Kimberly Martinez- Optometric Technician
Kimberly joined our technician team in July 2021. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 2018 with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Technical Writing. She joined the optometry field in 2019. She is the eldest of 4 sisters and an avid reader with a large book collection.
Giselle Gonzalez- Optometric Technician
Giselle joined our technician team in October 2021. She is a great addition to our technician team with her sweet and positive attitude. Giselle is a mom to her handsome son, Abraham. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Christine David- Optometric Technician
Christine joined our technician team in November 2021. She has over 6 years of experience as a technician. She has one daughter she loves very much, and a dog. She enjoys sketching and painting in her free time.
Dianaliz (Didi) Gonzalez – Optometric Technician
Didi joined our team in February 2022 but has been working as an optician since 2008. She loves helping patients feel welcomed during the preliminary and special testing procedures before they see the doctor. Didi has 5 dogs and enjoys traveling, playing video games, and landscape photography.
